My name is DAVID HANCOCK and I am a journalist and author living in Highbury, an area of north London famous for the internationally-renowned Arsenal Football Club. During my career as a journalist I worked for some of Britain's top national newspapers as a feature writer interviewing many of the world's best-loved rock stars and movie stars. If nothing else it has left me with a wealth of interesting stories about the rich and famous guaranteed to pep up any flagging dinner party conversation.
I recently decided to try writing books which is great fun but probably not the same sort of instant gratificartion I used to get from a short sharp 30-minute interview with someone like Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones. It is a much longer and arduous ordeal and unlike a piece about Keef you don't know if anybody wants to read it in the end. But whether it's read or not the very fact of actually writing and finishing a book leaves one on a Keef-style high. I recommend everyone should attempt to write a book at least once during their life.

Remember the title of a brand new book I'm involved with called A STATE OF FEAR. It is due out in hardback early next year and is set to take the country by storm. It is the true story of Dr. Reza Ghaffari who spent ten years in the torture jails of Tehran and it lifts the lid on one of the most evil regimes in the world today. Dr. Ghaffari was a respected academic when one night he got a knock on the door... and then his entire life turned into a nightmare of beatings, torture, suicides and massacres as he willed himself to stay alive. It is true and like nothing you have ever read before.
